Ability to exclude specific IP addresses
For web sites where internal traffic makes up a significant portion of the usage, have the ability to exclude specific IP addresses or networks.

I'd like to track different parts of my site separately
right now it seems chartbeat is tracking my site as a whole. i'd like to be able to track different subsections of my site separately, or have a view that is specific to subsections of my site. it would also be cool if i could get down to a specific page level, which could be useful if i'm looking only at my top page, or landing pages which are getting traffic from different ad units.

Show the TOTAL of the total in Total People
I don't know if it's because its not obvious, but I haven't been able to find where can I see the total amount of visitors of the site, regardless of the totals in the different time frames.
ie. TODAY TOTAL 300 visitors
and then break down how many visitors in the different time frames ( like it already does).

Create an Android App
I've used your iPhone app and found it very useful when I've been away from my desk.
I've since migrated to an Android phone and was wondering whether you had any plans for a native Android app, or at least a web app that doesn't rely on Flash?

provide historical referral stats
In general it would be nice to see historical roll-ups of all the real-time data, but referral stats in particular.

Allow us to specify *.mydomain.com so we can monitor our site across all subdomains
Right now, forums.mysite.com and mysite.com are not tracked properly. Specifying mysite.com will ignore all hits to forums.mysite.com

We’ve started implementing this. No promised on ETA, but hang in there! :)

Make it possible to run the dashboard in background
I'm running the dashboard within a fluid app (http://fluidapp.com) to always have an eye on the website. Unfortunately you instantly pause it when i unfocus the fluid app window. Probably it would be possible to timeout this pause function and only pause after 5 minutes without focus or so.

Hi, the issue with this is that it means the bandwidth required to run this all the time makes it very expensive and we’d have to raise our prices. At the moment the pause is the best way of keeping our prices down.
We are looking at other ways that we could offer this as a premium service if enough people want it

send a user name to chartbeat to see what they are doing
For sites that have a login system, it would be great to be able to pass their login name through to chartbeat, and then be able to see *who* is on each of these pages in real time. So user 'jim' is reading page X right now. That sort of thing.

We have to be careful over releasing Personally Identifiable Information, so that we aren’t infringing on anyone’s rights. However, we are looking at a few creative ways to bring you much more information about the demographic profile of your visitors. Stay tuned.

show load times for each location
You show load times and you show locations, why not tie them together and say this 10.54 second load time came from asia?

SSL+Counter
Chartbeat should have a SSL version of the javascript/html code for users with SSL secured websites so their website visitors don't see a IE popup saying something like 'some code insecure'.
Chartbeat should also have a 'users online' counter that users can display on their website to their website visitors. There should also be a website counter that displays a website's total visits.

Ability to increase the size of historical graphs
When I'm trying to look at the "Last 7 days" and "Last 30 days" views they are so small that it is difficult to navigate them and get as much value out of them as I could. There is great stuff there, I just need the ability to blow them up at time.
Maybe be able to swap one of those graphs into the 1-day view area since it has the space that I'm looking for.

Historical data downloads
I need to be able to run reports for management on a monthly and quarterly basis. For this I will need a way to dowload reports of the analytics

identify pages in stats by url instead of page title
All of my page titles are really long. It would be great if I could change my dashboard so it is reporting on urls instead of page titles.

You can override the reported title by setting a variable in the javascript. Would that solve the issue?

allow alerts to be sent to a different email address
Rather than being confined to using the email address used at signup, it would be very useful to be able to set a different email address for alerts

the default plan includes one extra login. You could create another user account for your alerts?

Ability to match specific page loads to specific geographic locations
We can see load times for pages and we can see the geographic location of hits. It would be incredibly useful to see the load times from those geographic locations. As in.. "Hey, my home page is taking 6 seconds to load from Dallas! Something's up!"

Ability to set the referring site manually
In our usecase we sometimes have to use landing pages which refer the user to another page before the DOM is complete.
In this case referrer information gets lost, but we store the referrer in a html5 database. So we got the information when the user hits the 2nd page and would like to track it.
It would be great if we could manualy overwrite the referer tracked to chartbeat.26 votes -
Show "Geolocation" and "Where they're coming from" historical data
Need to show historical data in addition to the live data so we can see/track historically where our users are coming from.
