Show the code for an existing site

There doesn't appear to be a way to see what (javascript) code to add to a site, after the initial setup, unless it's well hidden.

So if you need to rebuild a site, or, in my case, want to remove all the Chartbeat code, there's no way to see what code to look for (I can deduce but finding the he... more

Ability to login to secure sites to monitor performance

It would be great if users could enter a username/password to allow chartbeat to monitor pages that are not publicly available.

    SMS messages need more detail

I would appreciate it if the SMS messages provided more detail. For example, the "Site Back Up" SMS doesn't even tell you which site is back up. Not helpful if you're monitoring multiple sites.

Option to remove alert flags from history graphs

Many times the flags will completely obscure the data behind it.

Server load time is longer than user load time…it's just plain wrong. Beta issues?

It spiked yesterday from our nearly month long average of just under 1 second to many seconds and hasn't come back down. Nothing has actually changed on our servers and we're very confident our load times haven't changed.

Allow unused parameters in API calls

To help prevent caching, it's common practice to add a random number parameter. The jquery library actually does this for me with a parameter named '_'. However, it causes an exception in your code. For example, when I add a paramater '_=51351551324', I get back:

Don't assume no www. because it can break links.

Don't assume no www. My dashboard links are broken because it assumes no www. in the links. Our site redirects non www links to the www version.

Ability to exclude places eg towns or countries

We use our own site a lot but only want to track visitors. Our IP is not fixed but our location is (and is very different from our users)

Be able to step through the historical replay

Maybe I'm missing something, but when I replay it's pretty quick. I'd like to be able to pause and step through the time period to look at what particular pages were popular.

    Create a Registration Service

I would be interested in integrating our product with your service, but would need the ability to handle provisioning automatically. Any plans to allow 'partners' to use some kind of a creation/provisioning API?

Allow reporting of average load time by URL

I'd like to be able to look at a list of pages and see their avg load times which would help find bottlenecks in our site.

Add support for monitoring Facebook apps on apps.facebook.com

Facebook app developers would love to have this real time data, even though not specifically built for this purpose.

    Group pages by page title

You should allow us to see top pages based on page title. It shows the page title now, but it's grouped by page url. Let's say I have a wizard style collection of pages and the url is wizard.html?page=1, page=2, page=3 etc.. But they all have the same title: "sign up" it would be good i... more

Ability to get alerts when new pages enter the Page Density section

If a given page passes, say the top 50 (or perhaps a configurable rank) of the page density list, it'd be nice to be able to get alerted. This way when can know right away when any page starts blowing up. It would need to track which pages it has sent alerts for so as to only send the alert if th... more

    Status: planned

Making the alerts more intelligent is one of the key things we want to get done in the new year, as well as improving the page density map itself. Thanks for the feedback!

Provide historical data aggregate heatmaps so publishers know ad placement hot spots for each page.

It would be helpful to publishers to know which areas on each page most capture overall visitor attention. This would enable us not only to place ads more effectively, but also to place things like registration and newsletter signup forms, important announcements, donation links and so on.

add clarification on server load time. Is my site pinged regularly, or is it tied to user visits?

I'd like to know if the server load time is gathered from regular pinging of my website, or if it's based on actual user visits and triggering the JS.

If it's based off pinging, that is great, as I have setup a static subdomain to determine the lowest possible server response time. The delta bet... more

    Provide a non-hosted software solution

The charts are awesome, but I'd like to run them on my servers (the data we're talking about is very sensitive, and no, its not website data, its custom logs). Do you have a self-hosted solution for us?

    Show pages viewed in History

Analogous to Page Density in Real-time. It would be really useful to see a page density mapping over a given time period.
